sextuple Meanings: "A Bird in flight"

the words of a River brush and foam

against the turn of a bank. They cause me to wonder

if the bank can listen.

such are the wings on this earth!

beating beautful and endlessly. alone,

except for those few which share feathers pure and weathered:

they are connected, they are still.

You cause me to wonder daily about

things which as I watched had flown well beyond my reach,

yet when I extend my soft vane to You, a breathful

feather—tattered and perfect—gently descends.

perhaps You did not notice.

at times, I am inundated by the notion that

in my company, you might look with wonder into my feathers.

I feel obliged to tell you that though they be soft, I too

fly with wings which are tattered.

though, at a second glance, I suppose mine do not scend gently.
